Working as the only designer on all visual aspects of the product and company. Startup based in Oakland, CA, developing software to help museums and individuals catalog and manage their collections. Redesigned logo, brand identity, and website for the company. Designed advertising which was published in major US Museum conference programs. Prototyped user interfaces for the product and implemented them using the React JavaScript framework. Designed email templates for company announcements and blog posts, implemented them using HTML & CSS.
Experienced with branding, icon & logo design, and image making. Past and current clients include local small businesses, director and producer from Hollywood, kids summer camp, Bay Area hackathon, local politician, and more.
Mentored students ages 3-15 with extracurricular math & reading. Assigned homework, worked on data entry, maintained center organization and flow. Built skills working with younger kids. Worked as a designer on branding, center-specific learning materials, and graphics to communicate curriculum and learning philosophy.
Working in video, photography, sound, and digital image-making. Interested in topics of generative systems/processes, post-digital internet aesthetics, ambience, abstraction, and visual curation. Gave video performances at the Museum of Art and History and Felix Culpa Gallery in Santa Cruz, CA, with combined turnout of 400+ people. Ongoing and past projects include myriad album covers, a coffee table book with fellow artist Rowan Lommen-Nelson, and ongoing experimentation with physical media.
Helped rebuild low-income housing in Smith River and Crescent City in Northern California & Oregon. Worked with local nonprofits and homeowners. Hosted by the United Methodist Church and Smith River School.
